Welcome Little One - So Sweet!

Hi and Happy Early Summer!!

We're going to have 90 degree weather today, well maybe 95!!  After weeks of gloomy clouds I'm ready for some sun!!

Today I decided to join the Papertrey Ink Make it Monday #214 - Stamp with Neutrals!  I'm using this adorable Make it Market Wee Folk Kit.  It's the cutest kit for making baby cards, or anything baby!!  This is one of my favorite Make it Market kits!

The main rule for this Make it Monday is to stamp with Neutrals, and I started with "kraft" cardstock
which is one of my go to cardstocks!

Here is my card:

The neutral colors I used are from Stampin' Up!.   They include, Going Gray, Tip Top Taupe, Crumb Cake.  I embellished with a few other colors, Blushing Bride, Certainly Celery and Marina Mist.

These little "Wee Folk" animals and birds are just the sweetest, with little folksy designs on them, I colored them in softly and they add the tiniest little details!

The kit comes with stamps, dies, twine, buttons and some charming coordinating design papers.

I also stamped the heart background using Crumb Cake ink, oh I just thing this is the cutest!!

Here's one more card I made with the same kit:

I also used Stampin' Up! colors for this card, they are Mint Macaron, Blushing Bride and Baked Brown Sugar......  How cute is that ribbon?  New from Stampin' Up! Dotted Lace Ribbon in Mint Macaron!

Have an awesome day!!  Thank you so much for stopping by and stay cool!!
Oh, and check out the other crafter's cards here: Make it Monday #214.

Sweetie Pie Goody Bag!

Hello & Happy Friday  to you!

I have a quickie today!  I am posting on the Capture the Moment blog today!
I've submitted my goody bag to the Bagged & Tagged Challenge!  I've been loving
the new Mini Treat Bag Thinlets Die set by Stampin' Up!.

Here is the Valentine's Treat Bag I created:

I started with stamping the cute "Sweetie Pie" from the Papertrey Ink
stamp set My Punny Valentine.   The tag was created using PI's Tag Sale #2 Die and the super cute
Bow Builder Punch from Stampin' Up!  This little bag is perfect for a few mini cookies!

And I had to bake some cute cookies for this little bag!  I've been baking a lot lately!  Teapots, Hearts and Princess Crowns, but I think I like these mini hearts the best!  They taste soooooooo good and are the perfect size for a Valentine party favor!

If you want more information on making the heart cookies just let me know!  I can pass on the recipe and the size of the cookie cutter!  Altho now I'm getting ready to make some mini Easter cookies!

Thanks again for stopping by!  Make sure you check out the other cute bags on the Bagged and Tagged Challenge!  Lots of talented ladies posting their artsy bags!

Happy Valentine's Day!  Enjoy!

Goody Goody Goody Bags!

Hello!

So two times in one week!  I'm on a roll.....

Today I wanted to share some cute little goody bags I made.  All the products are from Stampin' Up!
In the Holiday Catalog they had the cutest kraft wrapping paper, Festive Designer Kraft Paper Rolls, which are now on sale for $3.99.  I love the krafty look, so I'm going to stock up!  Here are my goody bags:

Since the kraft paper for wrapping is thinner than card stock, these are like little brown bags.  I love using kraft colored items, and I just had to throw in the Gold Glimmer Paper hearts and embellishments!  The nice thing about this Mini Treat Bag Die is it comes with dies to create embellishments!  I also created a belly band for each bag to put the decor on!

Above, I used the heart die, added some 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon, gold twine, a little "love" tag and some gold sequins.

For this bag, I turned the paper inside out, used the heart die again and added some gold twine.

Here I stamped the belly band with Crumb Cake ink, added a Gold Button and some gold twine to the bottom of the heart.

And of course a Mini Treat Bag needs a treat!  So I used 1" x 8" cellophane bags to put the Brach's Tiny Conversation Hearts in.  They look so cute!  And, I love candy.....

Well thank you for stopping by today!  Have a fabulous weekend!

Teapots & Teacups!

Thank you for stopping by today!!

Well it's been awhile again, a long while.  I've just been posting everything on Instagram (@schalking) and haven't been posting to my blog....  So I'm going to give it a go again.

Happy New Year!  Happy 2015!  I hope this year has started well for you!  I've been stamping away, and baking and walking (and eating)!!

Today I want to share with you this cute Confetti Garland card I made for the Make it Monday #199 - Confetti Garlands.  What a cute idea!  Check out the Capture the Moment Blog and check out the cards!

You can add sequins, buttons, felt goodies, ribbon and paper die cuts, anything really that you can put on a garland (just punch a hole!).  I've been working on some teapot and tea cup cookies and tags for a little girl's tea party birthday party, so I have tea on the brain!

Here is Betsy's card (she also has a tutorial on how to create a confetti garland):

It's so cute, and the garland really pops with the white background!

Here is my card:

I had a lot of fun with this card!  I started with the Tea for Two Stamp Set from Papertrey Ink.

Then I chose the Sweet Girl double-sided card stock collection in the 6 x 6 paper pad.  The ink pads I used are from Stampin' Up!.  The colors are Strawberry Slush, Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight.

Oh and those cute little teapots and tea cups in the garland are from Taylored Expressions.  They're the cutest little dies, tiny and just perfect for tea party decor (and confetti garlands)!

This card can be a birthday, valentine, anniversary or "just because" card.  I've left the inside blank for now, until I decide who gets this card!  Hey, it could even be a Mother's Day card!

Along with teapots and tea cups, I tied little pieces of ribbon on the garland to add a little bit of "shabbiness".   Well I hope you enjoyed your stop by my blog today!  Thanks again for stopping by and have a pleasant evening!
