You're Tea-riffic!!

Hello there!

I have a cup of tea card for you today!!  It's been challenge time for me!  Here's another challenge I participated in from The Shabby Tea Room.  It's Week #181 - Tea Party Picnic!

The challenge is to use the colors in the photo, flowers and a tea theme!  That's exactly what I did, here's my card:

The colors used are Strawberry Slush, Pink Pirouette, Pistachio Pudding, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party, all from Stampin' Up!

The cute teapot and teacup stamps are from Stamps by Judith.   I have a small collection of teapot and teacup stamps..   I just can't seem to stop myself when they're so cute like these are!

The background is stamped with Stampin' Ups Distressed Dots background stamp, one of my favorite background stamps.

For a bit of sparkly embellishment, I added some glitter to all of the leaves, and a wrinkle ribbon bow in  Pool Party.  I think this card is Tea Party Picnic ready!

Thank you for stopping by my blog day!  Have a wonderful day and maybe enjoy a "spot" of tea while you're at it!

And remember - you're tea-riffic!!

Let's Go Dockside!!

Ahoy there Stamper!!

Today I decided to play along with the WPlus9 Monday Mood Board #19 Challenge!  I love this color combo, it's very similar to the Latte Love card I made on my last post!

Here is WPlus9's Monday Mood Board -

I know this is all soft and feminine, but I have been wanting to use my new Dockside Stamp Set from  WPlus9 soooooo........I did!!

So you're right, these aren't the typical colors for a "nautical" theme, but I can't resist the challenge.  My first thought was the little crab, he's my favorite of this set!!  My background paper is Crisp Cantaloupe, and the crab is stamped in the same color, makes me think of Maine...

The card base is Crumb Cake, I also used Pistachio Pudding and Poppy Parade, these colors are all from Stampin' Up!  I used the Dockside Backgrounds Stamp Set in Crumb Cake ink on the card base.

The nice poppy colored crab seems to want to jump out of a boiling pot, hmmmmmmm, maybe next time!  I embellished with a bit of poppy twine, and linen thread.  My sentiment is "Thank You" and.......

That coordinates with the inside, "Thank You for Being My Anchor"!!  The sentiments come with the stamp set, and I just love this one!  Who is your anchor??  Your mom? dad? husband? son? daughter? best friend? sister? dog?   I can think of more than one!!

And thank YOU for stopping by today!  Have a fabulously creative day!!

Latte Love!

Hey There!

I hope you're having a creative day today!!   I've been working on a card for  Capture the Moment's    August 2013 Blog Hop.  Today the challenge is to use one of the color pallets provided, along with the matching sketch!  I chose the color and sketch below:

Well the first thing I did was look for a good blueberry pie recipe - this pie looks soooooooooo delicious and I have some blueberries in the fridge.  I didn't make it yet, but it's been on my mind.  OK back to stamping - Here a new addition to my stamp collection - this is the Latte Love Stamp Set from Papertrey Ink.

I just love coffee cup stamps and all the cute little coffee sayings!!

I did a little bit of paper-piecing or fussy cutting as some call it.  The colors used are the ones mentioned in the first photo.

So the cute little stamps that are part of this set, "Certified Coffee Drinker" and "I (heart) Coffee" are just too cute (and they add some nice embellishment)!!  There's just something about that first cup of coffee to get your blood pumpin'!!

(my "start the day" cup!)

For the bottom horizontal "stripes" I used a nice poppy colored hemp!  This hemp makes the sweetest bows, and they keep their shape, or should I say you can shape it to your liking...  :-)

I also used some thick tape to raise the coffee cup stack up a bit giving it a slight 3D look.

I hope you enjoyed this card today!  Now I'm off for some lunch with my hubby!  Have a
crafty day, and thank YOU for stopping by my blog!!

A Foxy Background....

Oh hello!

I hope you're having a fabulous day!  So last week I did the Double Background over at the Capture the Moment Blog - when you enter the challenge, you are also entered to win their random drawing for a $25 gift certificate to their store, Papertrey Ink!  I WON!!!   YAY!!!  Soooooooooo exciting!!  I will be spending that with their next release on the 15th of this month!

Today I have again entered the Make it Monday #128 - Stamping Random Backgrounds challenge over at the Capture the Moment blog.  Here is the card sample, made by Ashley Newell:

Love the colors she used, AND the polka dots!  And here is my card:

I used the Hello, Foxy Mini Stamp Set from Papertrey Ink.  First I stamped "foxy", and to the upper left of foxy I stamped the little heart.  I made sure I stamped the heart in the same place by each foxy...  Then I stamped the flower to the right of foxy, again stamping the flower in the same place for each foxy.   So here we have another rubber stamped background!  I love it!!

This cute little stamp set also comes with the butterfly, and some cute greetings.  Could the fox be more adorable???  I think not!!!

The colors I used are Baked Brown Sugar (YUM!), Coastal Cabana, Very Vanilla and Crisp Cantaloupe all from Stampin' Up!.  I am loving the In Colors this year!!  Sooooooo trendy!!

To add a bit of embellishment I use the Coastal Cabana Ruffle Ribbon also from Stampin' Up! and I added a few little rhinestones for some bling!

Thank you for stopping by today foxy!!  (oohhh soooo 1970s)  Have a creatively fabulous day!

(Well it says RANDOM in the challenge description, mine is not so random, hopefully it works!)

You Make My Heart Smile...

I am back with another challenge from Capture the Moment.  This is the Make it Monday #127: Double Backgrounds challenge.  I really enjoy creating my own backgrounds, so this was a fun one for me (yes, they're all fun!)!  This is the card shown as a sample from the Capture the Moment Blog:

Dawn McVey used a polka dot background stamp and a music notes stamp for her background.  I  love the colors she used!  I used the Distressed Dots and Linen background stamps from Stampin' Up! for my background.  The Distressed Dots is one of my FAVORITE background stamps, love that "worn" look.  The Linen is kind of hard to see, you can see it better in the close-ups!

The other stamp set used is the  Framed Out #12 Mini Stamp Set from Papertrey Ink.  I love this stamp set, I added a little cut-out of my grandchildren....Love love LOVE!!   Oh and for some extra fun, check out my instagram, the button to follow is over on the right of my blog, I made a little video of this card!  I tell ya, I have WAY too much fun on Instagram!!!

The colors used are Poppy Parade and Smoky Slate, I also embellished with a few sequins for a little bit of bling!

I needed some Poppy Parade twine, so I saturated some red and white twine in the Poppy Parade ink! It worked and added just a bit more texture to finish off the card!

Now - I'm thinking this would be cute in a frame, because I really can't send it to anyone, and I like it....and it has 2 of my favorite little people on it!!

Thank you so much for checking out my blog today, and if you'd love to see some more beautifully creative cards, go check the the Make it Monday challenge!  You will NOT be disappointed!!  Enjoy!!
