Smooches...

You knew it wouldn't take too long for Frosty the Cupcake to fall in love, just because he is soooooo cute!  So he's here celebrating Valentine's Day with his better half - Smooches!!

I'm just getting started with this cute "Love is Sweet" stamp set from Taylored Expressions.

The colors I used are Real Red, Whisper White and Primrose Petals, along with some Echo Park patterned paper.    I also sprinkled some glitter on the cupcakes to make them eXtra tasty and added a red rhinestone for added bling!!

There's also a strip of heart washi tape across the bottom under the greeting!  It's so fun and colorful to add some simple embellishment with washi tape, another fun product to use often :-)

I hope you enjoyed this Valentine's Day card, there will be more cupcake Valentine's Day cards soon!! Thank you for taking the time to stop by today!!  Have a lovely day!!

Having a Ruff Day??

Not anymore!!  Check out this cute little Valentine Dog Card!!!!  It may be my hubby's Valentine card, or maybe Blue's Valentine, he's my big black lab!!  I am doing The Challenge Black on the {capture the moment} blog.  I'm also linking to the I heart nap time Sunday Scoop Link Party!!

The challenge is to have a black background!  Here it is!!  Looks a little snazzy, just the black, red and white!!

This cute little doggy is from the Tremendous Treats - Valentines Stamp Set from Papertrey Ink (they have matching dies).  I think he is the cutest little dog!!

The layered hearts are from Papertrey Ink also,  Limitless Layers - Heart Dies.  The colors I used are Real Red, Whisper White and Basic Black.

This was a pretty quick card to put together, you could make lots of them quickly, for all your Valentines!!  Or one for that special someone, or a special four-legged friend (the stamp set also has a cute kitty!).

I embossed the inside, doesn't that white embossing look nice on black?  Love it!!
Thank you for stopping by today!!  Have a wonderful weekend!!!

More Funky Florals!

Happy Hump Day!!  I am up with my mom while her house is being packed!!  Talk about a lot of work!!  I'm glad there are movers here!!  I'm sharing a card on a quick post!!  Here is a neutral color card about smiles bursting!  I am using the Funky Florals stamp set from Papertrey Ink again.

I used Crumb Cake card stock and Early Espresso Ink.  I also distressed a bit with Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink.

I embellished with some burlap, ribbon and twine to keep in with the neutral colors.

I love these flower stamps, they are a nice funky look!!

And here is the inside of the card.  Love that scalloped die!

Thanks for stopping by!

THEE Copic Workshop!!

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  Today I am going to share about the (thee!) Copic Workshop I attended at the Red Lion Hotel in Anaheim last week.  It was a build-up to the CHA (Craft & Hobby Association) Convention that started this past Saturday, and is over today.
I also attended the Copic Standard Certification class, so I can officially TEACH coloring (I learned so much)!!!  How fun is that!?  Fun AND therapeutic!!!  So here are some of the projects we did during the workshop:

This was just a "doodle" I did.  The workshop helps the "artist" to come out of their shell...  When I heard we were going to "doodle" - yikes, I can't "doodle"...  Altho I do remember doodling on my Pee-Chee Folder in high school.  Our Pee-Chees at the time had no color!!  But it was fun to add it....
The "doodle" in the photo above was my effort, I had some caffeine earlier so my circles and lines are a little wiggly, but I was ok with the way it came out.  Something new, a bit out of my comfort zone!!

We also learned to use the Copic Airbrush System.  I wasn't sure about this either but ended up loving it!!  Here are a few of my projects and yes, some of them look like they were done by kindergartners!!
The photo above, I LOVE, this was using a stencil!!  How pretty is that?

So this was more stenciling, the city skyline is so cool, and it's all airbrushed.

This one with the sun is on a different type of paper, we just put drops of the copic ink and let it run around.

And this was coloring on fabric, I love this little impression from My Favorite Things Rubber Stamps.    This little cutie is Doodle Garden Sweet Friend.  Isn't she adorable??  This is a little fabric bag, we learned to color on it, how cute would it be with a Happy Valentine's Day stamped on there and filled with someone's favorite chocolate!

This little guy was colored by one of the other ladies taking the workshop, I didn't get her name but she was there to support Operation Write Home at CHA.  She did a beautiful job on this little Valentine Doodle Garden I'm Raptor Around Your Finger!!!

This was colored  by another attendee, and I didn't get her name either, but love the color combo she used!!  Kind of Americana!!

The workshop was AWESOME!  I learned so many new techniques, and the whole time it felt like I was "playing".  I want a job where I get to do this ALL the time, stamping, coloring, pinning, - that would be the PERFECT job!!
Thank you for stopping by today, have a FUN-FILLED day!!

Laughing!

Well Happy Saturday!!  I just finished 3 days of Copic Marker certification and workshops, I will blog on them tomorrow!  It WAS a blast!  Today I have a quick post, A Laugh is a Smile that Bursts!!
So true!!

This is the real cute Funky Florals stamp set from Papertrey Ink.  You get it free when you spend too  much money on stamps (hee hee!)!!  Any who, I did spend too much and got it free!

This is a real happy stamp set, it's just so FRESH!!

The colors used are Basic Black, Poppy Parade, Very Vanilla and Blushing Bride.

I sprinkled a bit of glitter on the center design of the flower, for some sparkle!!

Thank you for stopping by today and have a great weekend!!

X-Large Valentine's Card

Yes I'm doing another Make It Monday from the {capture the moment} blog.  The theme is Rainbows and Repeats and here are the rainbow colors I chose:
And here is the X-LARGE card I created:
I usually stick to the 4.25" x 5/50" cards, but I wanted to get LOVE on the card 5 - FIVE times, sooooo I went BIG!!

This card will fit into your business size envelope, the card is about 7.50" x 3.50".   The stamp set is  Papertrey Ink's Think Big Favorites #23.  It's a perfect little stamp set for making Valentines!

I love the rainbow colors offered in the Challenge, so nice and bright!!

The colors I used are Whisper White, Lucky Limeade, Peach Parfait, Pool Party, Melon Mambo and Cool Caribbean!

I added a cut-out heart to each of the loves, and tied the bow using Pool Party twine with a few little heart charms in all the colors!!  It's a pretty happy Valentine's Day card!

And that says it all!!  I just think that's so cute, it just gets me every time!

Shabby Faux Chalkboard LoVe!!

Hey there, I have some Monday fun for you today!!  Well, more FAUX chalk board stamping, you KNEW it was going to happen!  This is super shabby, I love the colors in this patterned paper Love Letters by Bo Bunny and just built around it!

The gathered, shredded tulle is also by Bo Bunny, love the look it gives!  The stamp is from the Sending My Love stampset by Papertrey Ink.

The colors used are Basic Black, Calypso Coral, and Sage Green (I think it was Sage Green - discontinued by SU!).   This green is such a good shabby color, I hope it is brought back..

Here is the inside of the card:

And this is my family, my hubby, son, DIL and grandbabies!!  We had such a FUN day at Disneyland the day after Christmas!!

Thank you for stopping by today for a little bit of shabbiness!  Have a fantastic Monday!!

Faux Chalk Board Look!

I just love this technique!!  It's the Faux Chalk Board Look and it's been popping up all over the internet!

I finally watched a video on how to do this technique (I was intrigued) and it worked!!  It is the Make it Monday on the {capture the moment} blog.  Check it out!!  Here is the picture from the Make it Monday video of Betsy Veldman's card:

I love her chalkboard look!  And here is the card I created for the Make it Monday Challenge:
(check out the challenge, loads of ideas!)

This may be a new favorite technique of mine!  You can take a quote, verse or one of your favorite sayings, and make it the main character on your card!

For this card I used the Sending My Love stamp set from Papertrey Ink.  The flowers are from Papertrey Ink also, the stamp set is With All My Heart.

These new stamp sets are going to create some beautiful Valentine cards, especially with all the matching heart dies!!

The colors used are Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Gumball Green and Real Red.  And of course I had to sprinkle on some glitter!

And here is the inside of the card, all ready for delivery to your special someone!!

Thank you for stopping by today, YAY!  It's Friday, have a great weekend!!
