Happy Halloween!

Hello and Happy Halloween to you!
My thoughts and prayers go out to those on the East Coast affected by Sandy.  It just blows my mind when these disasters strike, how here on the West Coast we have blue skies and the sun shining, but the East Coast has been devastated...our prayers are with you..

And here's my Hello Kitty greeting for today!

Today I have more Scarecrow Crunch today, packaged with a different Trick or Treat tag!  I love the addition of purple to some of the Halloween papers!

I used the Pretty Patches - Pumpkin stamp set from WPlus9.   There's also a sprinkle of glitter on the heart and the leaf - gotta have the sparkle!

I like the little heart in the middle of the pumpkin, and the leaf, love those little details!

I'm also seeing more and more tulle in the craft stores, I love it for wrapping or just adding a little somethin-somethin to a card!  It's a great embellishment!

Have a fun Halloween and BE SAFE!
Thank you for stopping by my blog!!

Scarecrow Crunch!!

Greetings!  Happy Tuesday!!

Today I have some crunchy goodness for you!  I found the recipe for Scarecrow Crunch on Pinterest right here.  You click on the picture and it takes you to The Prairie Cottage blog and you have the recipe!  I thought this would be a somewhat healthy Halloween treat for my grandkids, so I put it together, made a Scarecrow Crunch tag and shipped it off!!

For the tag I used one of my favorite stamp sets!  You're starting to see a lot of the little scarecrow dude, he just comes in real handy this time of year! He's from the wplus9 Design Studio and the stamp set is called Happy Harvest (once again!).

Scarecrow Crunch is too easy, just put everything in a big bowl, gently mix it together and you have a different, fun snack for the little ones!

I purchased a nice big plastic container that I thought my DIL (daughter-in-law) could use (she loved it!) filled it with the goodness and added the tag.

You could also make smaller treat bags for Halloween!  Hmmmm - I'll have to see if I can come up with some cute Halloween tags!!

Thank you for stopping by today!  Enjoy your day!

Merry Monday!

Hello fellow crafters!

I am getting excited for the holidays!  Halloween is this Wednesday, Thanksgiving is coming soon and Christmas will be here before we know it!  I love all the wintery decorations, and STAMPS!!
It's got to be one of my favorite crafting seasons!

Today I have a Christmas card I made for a challenge, but I was too late to submit it!  We can still enjoy it!!  The challenge was to use a different color combo, other than our traditional holiday colors.  I was pleased with the results!

The stamp set I used is from Papertrey Ink and it's called Winter Snow Globe.

LOVE the little snowman!!  Could he be any cuter??  I don't think so!!

The colors I used are Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Cool Caribbean and Starfruit.

I also used silver glitter paper for the snow, and lots of glitter for a wintery look!  The snowflakes are from the Snowflake Medley stamp set, they also come with dies, makes it soooooo much easier and faster, no scissors needed!

On the inside of the card I stamped the greeting using the Happiest of Holidays stamp set also from Papertrey Ink.   The colors look pretty good together, they're kind of wintery and still look great for Christmas.  A bit different from our traditional red and green...  I've seen bright pinks and aquas or turquoises used also, maybe they'll be next!!

Have a great Monday!!

So I made this card for the {mojo} Monday Sketch Challenge.  Here is the sketch:

And here is the card:

The colors used are Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Lucky Limeade.

I embellished with crochet lace and the stamped flowers.

Primitive Pumpkins!

Hi!

Happy Thursday to you!!  I'm doing a little contest with the Stamp to Win in the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club!!  MFT is My Favorite Things rubber stamps.   To do the challenge, we have to use this card "layout".

This is the card I'm going to submit for the contest, love these pumpkins!  I used a rubber stamp set from My Favorite Things called Primitive Pumpkins.

I added the little green springy vines to the pumpkins, they're included in the stamp set, and when you cut them out, they curl and spring!!

The colors I used are Tangerine Tango, Lucky Limeade and Basic Black.

The bow is a bit of black wrinkled seam binding and some orange tulle!  Love tulle!

And of course my little witchie witchie Halloweenie greeting!!

Thank you for stopping by today, have a great day!

Sending Christmas Wishes..

Hello!

I have another Christmas card today!  I made it for a swap!  SWAP = Send 11 handmade cards (usually a certain theme) to the Swap hostess and receive 10 handmade cards back, all different, from stampers across the nation!  We have a group of Stampin' Up! ladies that do this, and I get back some of the most beautiful cards!  It's so fun to see what others do, these ladies are SOOOOO creative!

I used the Joyous Celebrations stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

One of my favorite embossing folders is the Chevron Textured Impressions from Stampin' Up!  The chevron pattern is really trendy right now in the crafting world!!  You can see it here, the Gumball Green has been embossed with the chevron pattern.

The colors used are Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White and Soft Suede.  I also used the Stampin' Up! Snow Festival Designer Series Paper.  Love those jolly trees!

The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler seam binding, the seam binding lays so nicely - why does a nice warm cherry cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream sound good right now??  I also embellished with some Basic Rhinestone Jewel Accents - we must add BLING!!

Here's the final picture, a stack of Christmas cards!  Does it get you in the spirit yet!?!  I'm back to crafting some Halloween goodies today, getting a little package together for my grandkids!
Thank you for stopping by today, have a fantastic day!

Oh Christmas Tree!

Hi there!
Happy Tuesday to you!!  Today I have a paper-crafted Christmas Tree card that I cased from the Stampin' Up! Stampin' Success magazine that demos get every two months..

This card is so easy, just cut strips of holiday printed paper at different lengths.  I used Stampin' Ups Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack.  All 6x6" papers!  Then I used Soft Suede for the tree trunk, and the other colors used for the card are Lucky Limeade and Crumb Cake.

I embellished the top of the tree with Stampin' Up! Basic Rhinestone Jewel Accents.

I just love the idea of different holiday prints creating this tree, it's so crafty and colorful!  And they can be made quickly, if you're making your Christmas cards!

The "merry merry merry" stamp is from the Border Banter stamp set, also from Stampin' Up!   Merry was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink....  And I also added a little bow made of twine.. Cute!

Thank you for stopping by today!  Oh!  I made 11 of these cards, sent them out for a Christmas swap!
Enjoy your day!!  Happy Stamping!

Houndstooth Ghosts!

Hi and thank you for stopping by for another Halloween Ghost card today!  It's Monday!  Let's start off the week on a "cute" note!  Here is a cute little ghost from Papertrey Ink.  The stamp set for this little guy is the Happy Haunting Stamp set which also has a Happy Haunting die.

The colors used are Very Vanilla and More Mustard with Stampin' Up's Howlstooth and Scaringbone Designer Series Paper.

These have got to be the friendliest little ghosts, just way too cute!!   I love the fact that you can make them a bit scary, or just as cute as can be!!

This is the inside of the card, I have a cute little Halloween greeting there, and these ghosts seem a little "perplexed"!!

Thanks again for stopping by today!  Enjoy your Monday!

Ghost Garland!

Hi and a Happy Thursday to you!!  Hmmmmm, well I think I'm "retired", with a little push from my employer - I got laid off, but it was an OK layoff, I have been sooooooooo ready to go!!  SO - my retired life starts today!!  I am so excited to pursue some of my creative passions!!  Here is one of them - as you know if you've been checking out my blog, it's CARD-MAKING and Rubber Stamping!!!

I've joined a challenge from the {capture the moment} blog called Make it Monday #87 Stamping Alphabets with Die Cuts!!   This is how it was done - using your alphabet dies and a thicker paper, create alphabet stamps!!

This photo is from the {capture the moment} blog, this is one way of creating the stamps!  I did it a little bit different, and I didn't do the whole alphabet, I just did "Boo!".

I raised the letters up a bit with mounting tape, to be able to stamp, and not totally cover the stamping block in ink!!

And here's my Ghost Garland card using the Tremendous Treats Halloween Stamp Set from Papertrey Ink:

The colors used are Peach Parfait, and I also used an older "retired" (hey, that sounds familiar!) Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

The little ghosts are just the cutest!!  I used mini black brads for their eyes!

I love any type of garland, and ghosts seemed appropriate for this time of year!!

So BOO to you this Thursday!!  Thank you for stopping by today, have a fantastic day, I'm going to!!!

Enjoy the Ride..

Hello and thank you for stopping by today!   Today I have an artsy card for you, using the same bicycle stamp I used on yesterday's card!  Loving those bicycle stamps!!  The scrap paper is from my stash, and the cardstock is Barely Banana (retired) and Gumball Green...

I used the Staz-on Black ink and stamped using the Unity Stamps Lovely Lilacs stamp, a great stamp for collaging..

I added some rhinestones to the spokes, and sprinkled with glitter!   The "tee-hee" and the arrow are from Close To My Heart, along with the bicycle.

I embellished with some buttons -

and stamped on the inside of the card too!!  Enjoy the ride, yep, let's do that!!

Have a great day today, and thanks again for stopping by!!

Link Up For Pink

As we all know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, but it should not start or end in October, we should always be aware. Remember to do your self-breast exams, send reminder cards to your friends to get their mammograms, and accompany a friend to their appointment.  I'm participating in the

Check out the link, at the time I checked there were already well over 400 participants!  Make a card or craft with a splash of pink and join the party!

My splash of pink is Melon Mambo and the light turquoise blue is Juniper (CTMH).  Yesterday I shared that I am now collecting "cute" pumpkin rubber stamps, well another one of my favorite stamps to collect is bicycles!!

So as you're riding your bicycle along, you are remembering that "every day is an adventure"!!  Well that's what the card says!??!!?

I added a seafoam colored pearl to the spokes of the bicycle and sprinkled some glitter on the wheels also...  I love these colors together too!!

We can also donate our cards and they will be delivered to the Breast Cancer Centers!  So I will be donating this card!

Oh!  And these stamps are from Close To My Heart, they were part of the September special, had to have the bicycle  :-)

Thanks for stopping by today - Have a Good One!!
