Summer Colors..

Ooooohhh I love these summer colors!!  Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango, So Saffron and Whisper White.....This is the Reason to Smile stamp set from Stampin' Up!  It's 2-Step Stamping, meaning you stamp first with the background flower, it's made to create a very light layer of color, then you stamp over that with the outline flower, it's so pretty!!

Hope you have a great day!  Thank you for stopping by my blog!!

An Apple a Day....

YAY!  It's Saturday and I am stamping away!!  Here is a card I made yesterday for a swap, it's a sneak peek of one of the new stamp sets in the Stampin' Up! Holiday 2012 catalog, coming soon on August 1st!  I love this new set, and the Designer Series Paper!  Enjoy!

The colors I used are the new Raspberry Ripple, More Mustard, Lucky Limeade and Whisper White.  How cute would the apples be on a scrapbook page!!  I also used the Distressed Dots background stamp, and to get the large scallop border I used the Tasteful Trims Bigz Die.

This is going to be a great Fall set!!

Thank you for stopping by today!  Enjoy your day!!!

Chic Purse Card!

Good Morning and Happy Friday!  YAY!!  We made it through another week, and I just can't believe that next week we will  be in the month of AUGUST!!!!  Where oh where has this year gone!  I swear the older I get, the faster the years go by!
Hmmmmmmmmm, I'm noticing I'm in a much happier mood when I don't have to go to work, and I don't have to work today!!
So I love the look of this card, loving the Basic Black, Real Red and Very Vanilla AND the Stampin' Up Designer Series Paper First Edition.  This is a great paper, because you can stamp over it, especially in black and get a great vintage look!

I just layered with Very Vanilla, Real Red and stamped in Basic Black on the First Edition Paper.

I stamped the Real Red purse on Very Vanilla and cut it out, I also cut out the flower in First Edition paper and created the little tags using the Tiny Tags stamp set with the matching Jewelry Tag punch.

This is one of my favorites so far with the Dress Up stamp set.  It's amazing how many different direction you can go with one stamp set.....Have a great Friday!  Thanks for checking out my card today, hope to "see" you back tomorrow!

Steppin' Out!

Hi, I'm still stylin' with the Stampin' Up! Dress Up stamp set.  I used the "pumps" stamp this time, and blinged one of them up a bit.

The colors I used are Lucky Limeade, Baja Breeze, Wisteria and Whisper White.  I used pearls and rhinestones for the bling.

I am loving this stamp set, so much you can do with it!  I tend to like stamps that are kinda big and just need ink, theres no coloring in, just a good stamped image!

I hope you enjoyed this Steppin' Out card, and I have another purse card for tomorrow - I think it's pretty stinkin' cute, stop by and see what ya think!  Oh and thanks for checking Stamp. Craft. Pin. out today!

Summer Purses...

Hello!  I'm home from the Stampin' Up! convention and so inspired to stamp, stamp, stamp!  I am so addicted to rubber stamps, my name is Kristy and I AM a stampaholic.....Oh boy!!  We had a great time in Salt Lake City, convention was great, we got a little hike in, found a cute cupcake bakery and ate at too many Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives...I still have to go thru and take some photos of my favorite swaps.  I tell ya, I am always amazed at the talent that gathers at the Stampin' Up! convention!!   You see 100s of different takes on 1 stamp set, ideas you would never think of, it just amazes me, and the color combinations people put together!
So today I am sharing a card I put together last night, I have the cutest stamp set called Dress Up, and I used the purse from the set.

So these are summer bags  :-)  and the colors I used are Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango and Whisper White....oooohhhh  I love the names of the colors!!

I made "background" paper using the purse/bag stamp, and then stamped the flowers in the different color cardstock, cut them out and embellished the purses with the flowers.

I already have another set of colors picked out for tomorrow's card and I can't wait to get home from work to make it!

I hope you enjoyed this card today, and hope to "see" you again tomorrow!!  I know sometimes I don't get my new post up, I do try to post every day, but life gets in the way sometimes!
Have a great day!

First Day in Salt Lake City

Hi, thanks for stopping by today!  On the way into Salt Lake City we took a little detour to  Dear Lizzie's Boutique and Bistro in Highland, Utah.  It is the cutest little store I have ever been in!!  Here are a few pictures from Dear Lizzie.

You can see a bit of the boutique in the second picture, but you can see a lot of the bistro, sweets counter!!  Cupcakes, brownies, truffles and sugar cookies, and they are delicious!

After the boutique we headed into Salt Lake City and my hubby dropped me off at the Salt Palace, Salt Lake City's convention center.  I checked in and hit the display area.  Here are a few pictures from the displays:

These pictures are from my phone, I will have more to download from my camera hopefully for tomorrows post.  Oh one of the best things about SLC is the Red Iguana restaurant.  We go here every time we're in SLC, it is the best mexican food, and they have the best sopapillas!

Since today was just check in day I don't have a lot of the cards and other papercrafts!  Tomorrow is the opening session, please check back again tomorrow and I'll have some more "crafty" photos - probably won't look like a FOOD blog like it does today!  Altho, there are so many good restaurants in SLC, I will continue to mention them also!  Thanks again!  "See" ya tomorrow!!

Merry Monday...

Merry Monday!!  Can you EVEN think about Christmas yet?  I did, just because I used this little vintagey Christmas stamp set from Stampin' Up!   It's called the No Peeking! Stamp Set and I used it for a Vintage Swap for convention...We're leaving tomorrow morning, and I'm STILL working on my swaps!

This is just a quick post because I have to get back to my swaps!  The colors used are Gumball Green, Cherry Cobble and Whisper White.  I used a new item, the Cherry Cobbler tulle, that I LOVE from the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog!  The Holiday catalog will be online August 1.

I also used the Basic Pearls Jewel Accents and one of my FAVORITE embellishments Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter.

The little oval frame is Designer Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, you get two frames, really adds a nice vintagey embellishment, and sooooo easy!!  Just run it thru the Big Shot.

Have a great Monday, thank you for stopping by today.  This should be a great week, I'll be in Salt Lake City on Wednesday, and will blog with LOTS of pictures from the Stampin' Up! conventions.

Back to stamping!

The Countdown to Convention has begun.....

Hi, and the countdown has started!!  I have Sunday and Monday to finish my swaps!  I'm pretty sure I will finish.   A few conventions ago, I would be up till 2 a.m. in the hotel room finishing my swaps, which meant my hubby was up also.    Poor guy, I finally got it down the past couple of years, that everything was completed by the time we left our house, so there would be no super late nights of putting cards together!!  I made 30 of these tags and I like how they turned out.  It gets me excited to start making Christmas tags - AFTER convention!

And I ordered this stamp from Stampin' Up!.  I'm going to stamp it on some cardstock, and punch it out with a label stamp or something, and stick one in each of my swaps.

And here are my bookmarks again, I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out, and I love these colors together..  AND the butterfly punch, LOVE IT!!

OK - quick post, ready to start stamping again!!  I have a lot to get done today!
Happy Sunday!  Thanks for stopping by!!  "See" you again tomorrow!!

A Few Swaps....

Hi, thanks for stopping by today..  I have a few photos of the swaps I'm creating for the Stampin' Up! convention.  This is for a tag swap, I will be receiving 30 different tags, and below that a bookmark for 30 different bookmarks.  Check back next week, and I will share pictures of the tags and bookmarks I receive!

I'm going to try my hardest to share lots of photos from convention next week in Salt Lake City.  SLC is full of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives too, so I'll take some pictures of these places, and the FOOD!!

Below are the pieces for the 3" x 3" card swap, I am making 160 of these!!  I will share some of the ones I receive next week!  This is the first time I have participated in this swap, it should be fun!

Today I have to work on my Vintage Card Swap, vintage is one of my favorite looks!!  Thank you for stopping by today, I will have more to share tomorrow, looking forward to "seeing" you.  Have a great Saturday!!

Finally Friday!

Hi - Happy Friday!  YAY!!  We made it once again!  Hope you have a "lucky" Friday the 13th!  I have been missing in action creating cards, bookmarks and tags for the Stampin' Up! Convention that starts next Wednesday!  Wednesday is check-in day and there will be thousands of ladies ( a few men too) participating in "swapping"!  My son Ryan says a "flurry" of  swapping is what goes on at convention!  Well, actually, he was at convention one year, and he, my husband and I heard a super excited stamper say "OH there is just a flurry of swapping going on"!!  It is quite a sight!  Please stop by next week, I will show you (with pictures) what I'm talking about!  My son is now married with children, so we don't subject him to the SU! convention anymore, but my whole family knows what it is all about!!  And for the past month I have spent all my spare time working on swaps!

Here is a card I made recently, while working on my tags.  See I used a little bit of fabric here, its the Comfort Cafe Designer Fabric.

I also used the Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper.  The cardstock used is Pool Party, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit and Very Vanilla.

The flower is made with the Floral Fusion Sizzlets Die and I embellished with the Basic Pearl Jewel Accents.

I also embellished with  Printed 2011 In Color Designer Brads.

I hope you enjoyed this card, tomorrow I will share a sneak peek of some of my swaps that I am taking to Salt Lake City...Please stop by!

Oh and thank you for stopping by today!!
