Raspberry Pickin'......

Hi, YAY it's FRIDAY!!!  HAPPY WEEKEND!!  I haven't posted for about a week and last weekend I was up in Vancouver, WA for a long Gramma's weekend.  It was a nice 4 day weekend and on Monday we went Raspberry picking at Philbrook Farms.  It was the first day for Raspberries!

So we put the kiddos in their rain boots and started picking!  It was so beautiful out there, just so relaxing....

I think my grandson had more fun because of all the dirt, but my grand daughter got into the picking, if she found berries hanging low enough.

My DIL and I decided we need to live on a berry farm, and do the farming, and have a store to sell jams and loaf breads and some other cute berry items.

I know it's probably a heck of alot of work, but we can dream!

Here's a nice handful of berries.  We've already decided that next year I'm going to stay a week, and we're going to make strawberry, raspberry and blueberry jam!  I think the grandkids will like the strawberry picking better, the berry plants are low to the ground, so it's perfect for them...  Gramma and mom liked picking the raspberries, because they were just the right height, no bending over!!

Here I am with my two favorite berry pickers!!  It was a great weekend!!  Thank you for checking my blog today (sorry for the blip in posting) and hopefully I'll have a card to post tomorrow!!  I'm working on swaps for the SU! convention coming up real quick in Salt Lake City!!

See you tomorrow!

Happy Anniversary!

Oooooohhhhh Happy Wednesday!  Yesterday was my son Ryan and DIL Bethany's 8th wedding anniversary!  I'm so proud of them and their lovely family, my grandson and my granddaughter!  They have all brought such joy into me and my hubby's life...  This photo is 10 years old, I took it out in the front yard when they had first met.  They both look like teenagers...

From Ryan and Bethany I got these two little sweethearts, Ryan Jr. and Ella..

So I've been trying to make all my greeting cards lately, I succeeded at Father's Day, and Mother's Day and I really wanted to make their anniversary card.  This is what I came up with....It's from a new SU! set called Everything Eleanor

There's lots of glitter on the flowers, kind of a vintagey set...I even "put a bird on it"..  My son will like that..

You can see the glitter here, and I also added some little pearls, must embellish!!

The colors I used are Peach Parfait, Pool Party and Very Vanilla.  I think I'm going to be using Everything Eleanor alot!

Above is the flat layout and below is the inside of the card, I love the swirls from the set.

Thank you for stopping by today!  Have a great day, and please stop by again tomorrow!!

Tootsie Pop Tuesday!

Hi,  Happy Tuesday!  Today we have tootsie pops!  Check out the Designer Series Paper here, and you will see the little chocolate tootsie pops...  I saw them and thought, we must have them!  So I punched out circles, added a little white ink trying to highlight and popped them on a lollipop stick!

I tied a little Baker's Twine around the stick and added some for embellishment around the scalloped square.  I also used the zig zag (chevron) pattern on this card.

The colors used are Lucky Limeade, Soft Sable and Wisteria Wonder..   I like this color combo, and it's so easy to put the colors together when you have the scrapbook paper do it for you!

I also used the Itty Bitty Banners again, and added two tiny brown brads on the banner.

I hope you enjoyed my Tootsie Pop card, I am going to have to try a bright orange and bright yellow Tootsie Pop card and maybe throw in a red one too!  Have a great day today!!  Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to you stopping by again tomorrow!

Sweet Monday!

Hi!  I'm starting off the week with something sweet!  How about these cute lollipops from the SU! set Sweets for the Sweet.  I'm kind of stuck on these colors lately, I really like them together...

Colors used are Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral and Whisper White.  I also used the Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog, sorry no longer available.. Such a cute color combo, and love the candy design!!  Another new SU! product is the Large Scallop Edgelits Die - you can see it above in the Calypso Coral and the Pool Party, I'm going to love this die, I love scallop edges!!

I used the Basic Rhinestones on the bows, to add some bling, and for the Happy Birthday greeting I used the Bitty Banners Framelits Die and the coordinating stamp set Itty Bitty Banners.   I really like the banners, I hope SU! comes out with more, it makes for a quick and easy greeting, and quick and easy is a good thing!  :-)

I also embellished with my wrinkled seam binding, I love the look of it, shabby and vintage!

I hope you enjoyed this "HAPPY" birthday card today, it's a feel good card, and candy always makes us happy!  Thank you for stopping by today, and I hope you stop by tomorrow.. More goodies waiting to be shared!!

Thanks again!

Happy Father's Day!

Hello and Happy Father's Day to you or your special someone in your life!  We not only have our dads, some of us have our sons who have become dads, our father-in-laws, our brothers may be dads and in my case my husband has been a dad or step-dad to my son since he was 9 years old (he's 29 now!).  So I went a  little masculine for this card (considering the holiday) and I like the way it turned out!

I picked up the Union Pacific R.R. stamp at my local stamp store (we've always enjoyed scenic train rides) and who doesn't love a big old train with the big puff of steam going down the track?  And I like the newsprint look of the stamp.  I stamped it on Crumb Cake card stock and the colors are just Basic Black and Crumb Cake (kraft).

The black and kraft "chevron" pattern card stock is the background along with a kraft graph paper.

The "Happy Father's Day" greeting is cut into a banner, and backed with Basic Black cardstock, and I added two tiny black brads for a little embellishment.

I hope you enjoy your Sunday!!  Thank you for stopping by today, and I hope to "see" you tomorrow for a new card!!

New Butterflies from SU!

Hi, thank you for stopping by today, I hope your weekend is off to a great start!!  This card is made using the new Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!   I knew I would like this set, I've never really been into butterflies, but they have become so popular, especially in rubber stamping world and I find myself stamping with butterflies more and more.  They always add a bit of elegance.
Take a look at the set, it has a nice variety of butterflies!!

Another reason this is such a great set is because it has a matching punch, the Elegant Butterfly punch is quick and easy!

The colors used for this card are Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Whisper White.  I also added some pearls to the butterflies, and the antennae are a little piece of linen thread tied into a knot.  I like the look of the linen thread, kinda cute!

The Happy Birthday greeting is also new, it's from the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set, which goes with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies.   This also makes a quick and easy greeting, I layered it and added some tiny pearls.

The zig zags cuts are also from a Sizzix die that was made for SU!  Zig zags are another trendy crafty pattern called "chevron".

So this is a real simple, clean looking card and was real fast to put together.
Have a great day and please stop by again tomorrow, for a Father's Day card!

A Little Birdie told me....

Good Morning and Happy Monday!!  I have to try!!  This card is crafted from the Tweet Talk Stamp Set from Papertrey Ink.  It's an adorable set, I just love the little birdies.  Included with the set is alot of different greetings.  I chose "you're retiring" for this one...

All the  "greetings" will start with "A Little Birdie told me" - and then there are other stamps saying - "you're retiring", "it's your birthday", "you're engaged" etc...

It's the cutest little set and the birds are adorable..  The colors I used are Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White and Gumball Green.  Here you can see I added a little glitter to the little flowers on the birds (must have glitter!).

I also stamped the background with a Hanko Designs Sakura Block Stamp.

You will definitely be seeing more of these little birdies, I love the set, and the "greetings" are great!!
Thank you for stopping by, have a lovely Monday (if Mondays can be lovely!).

Love life, live life..

Happy Sunday and thank you for stopping by today.....So I kind of disguised that I have another Betsy's Blossoms card...and I'm in a hurry, going to go check out a Farmer's Market this morning...

The colors I used are Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Starfruit, Pool Party and Cajun Craze... I also used some linen thread for the buttons and to add a little bow to the love, life --- live life.

I also used the Distressed Dots as the background (one of my favorites).

I'm kinda likin' this flat view today, I think it's the buttons!!   Have a great day today and please stop by for another card tomorrow!!

Dance as if....

Hi and thank you for stopping by today!  YAY Saturday!!  Hope you have a fantastic one!  I love this saying - it's pretty much Be and Enjoy!!  I was in a Gumball Green mood, it's such a great color!!

Wow, I just realize I didn't add any glitter to this card, but I did add rhinestones, so there is some bling!!

So this is just a quick post before I get my day started, I hope it gives you a little reminder of how precious life is.

Let those you love - know you love them, have a fabulous Saturday and thank you for stopping by!

Another card tomorrow!!

Let's Get Together...

Hey it's FRIDAY!!  Let's get together for some girl talk, and some coffee, or tea, or a mochachino blonde roast extra hot macchiato with whip!!  Oh boy, anyway, it's the weekend and how cute is this stamp set??  It's from Papertrey Ink.  They have awesome stamps, they're quality is the best I've used! This little stamp set is called Heart 2 Heart #1 Mini Stamp Set

My colors today are happy and bright Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Whisper White.

Of course there is glitter on these coffee cups and pink rhinestones!!

This is a happy, bright card, makes me want to go out and get a vanilla frappe sugar-free 1% dark roast mochachino extra cream with sprinkles....and sip it slowly while chatting with my BFF!

So have a great Friday, thanks for stopping by for a crazy coffee drink and a happy card and stop by again tomorrow - I think you will be seeing green tomorrow!!   I want to make more cards with this stamp set!!!

Love this Sunflower Stamp...

Hi, Happy Thursday to you!  Here is another beautiful stamp from Stampin' Up!   It is the Sunflower stamp, and it is very detailed as you can see....I like it in a black or brown ink.  I stamped it on a Daffodil Delight :-)  Designer Series Paper - the Floral District.

The colors used are again, Daffodil Delight (makes you smile), Crumb Cake and Basic Black.

I used buttons in the same colors finished with Linen Thread.  I just can't stick a button on a card without some kind of thread tied in it.   I also wrapped some of the Linen Thread around for card to embellish!  I used the "I'm so sorry" greeting, ok I know it's not really a "greeting"!!  But sometimes we have to say I'm sorry, and it might be with a card.

Here's the side view, you can see the base of the card is the Crumb Cake card stock.  This Sunflower stamp makes a quick and easy card, it just doesn't need much else.  You'll be seeing this stamp often, I love it for Autumn cards also.

And the flat view...why do I like this flat view?  I don't know, it just lays it all out!
Thank you for checking out my blog today, and please stop by for another card tomorrow!  Have a great Thursday - it's almost Friday!  YAY!

Betsy's Blossoms - FRESH!!

Hi - I hope you are having a pleasant Tuesday..  I am back to Betsy's Blossoms Stamp Set..  I can't help it, I thought I was done for awhile but I saw this color combo - Pool Party, Gumball Green (new In Color), Bermuda Bay (retired) and Lucky Limeade in a wallpaper with big huge flowers like these, and it was so pretty, so fresh - I just had to do it!  I had to copy the wallpaper onto a card, these colors together are so crisp and yes, they are FRESH!!

I like the two different tones of the greens, and I'm loving the bright new Gumball Green (it's going to make a great Holiday green!).

I added a few polka dots as a background, and a "just for you" greeting using the Bitty Banners...

I think I will be using Betsy's Blossoms alot, I know I've mentioned it before, but I just love the big huge solid stamps, I like the bird and the leaves too, so easy to cut out!!

SU! really needs to bring back Bermuda Bay, it's a lovely color and makes me think of the Caribbean, and mix it up with Pool Party, you want to jump right in!!  Thank you for stopping by Stamp. Craft. Pin. today, and please stop by again tomorrow, for another new card!
